If you have to make up a name for the "Private#" do so. Sometimes before or sometimes after pressing "done" the number would usually attach. On some of my older cell phones I had really good luck. Now I have an iphone and I haven't figured it out. I'm sure not all phones will do this, certain models of Motorola's worked for me. I don't know if it was that brand or if AT&T service had something to do with it, but I never had anything special added to my older phones/service.
